In Qatar, Muslim marriages are registered with the family courts under the Supreme Judicial Council, after mandatory premarital screening at a primary health care centre.
Who registers the marriage
The family court's marriage documentation section, through an authorised ma'dhun, registers the contract.
Typical steps

Complete premarital screening at a Primary Health Care Corporation centre.

If a Qatari citizen is marrying a non-Qatari, apply for the required marriage approval.
- 3
Book the court or ma'dhun appointment and agree the mahr.
- 4
Conclude the contract with the wali and two witnesses and collect the marriage certificate.
